BEIMUN XIX Participation

Participation is by invitation only. Schools that have been a part of BEIMUUN in the previous several years are sent an invitation by the BEIMUN director in May of each year.

New schools may make application to BEIMUN in April and May of each year. There is a waiting list for BEIMUN but under special circumstances, new schools may be admitted.

Students attend as part of a school delegation. This consists of a school MUN director, chaperones and students. The school registers their students based on the delegations and forums assigned to them. Directors may make application for officer positions during this registration process however, these positions are few in number and the applications always outnumber the available positions. Students and directors are notified by email of the final decision.

International Court of Justice positions are also available during registration. Once again, these positions are highly sought after and there are very few. Directors and students are notified of the decision through the website.

BEIWATCH is the conference newspaper produced by the BEIMUN Press Core. Directors can apply for students to be in the Press Core through the website. Positions open in the press core are reporter, text editor, photographer and layout/design editors. Students recommended by their directors will be sent an email so they can logon and complete the student portion of the registration process. The Press Core Advisor will review each recommendation and an email will be sent to directors and students of their success. Each issue of BEIWATCH is posted on this website for everyone to read.
